Though the concept of mystery shopper is fairly new in India, it is fast catching up. This concept is gaining popularity as more and more brands are becoming aware and giving utmost importance to customer satisfaction.

Mystery shopping agencies are approached by large companies to send mystery shoppers to their respective outlets. These mystery shoppers are equipped with feedback forms about their experience that they are supposed to fill out at the end of the visit.

A mystery shopper has to basically visit a particular organization as customers, avail of their services without letting the staff know their true intentions, make necessary purchases and finally file a report, which is essentially an objective type feedback form about their experience. The report is than sent to the company, which then acts upon it.  

Off course, the money they spend is paid back and depending on how good they are, they get the next assignment.
