Almost 46 percent of adults have tertiary education in 2006, though it fell into 44 percent by 2007. But And Israel is reportedly spent around 10 percent of its GDP in education sector. Israel follows a three-tier education system which is named primary education, middle schools and high school. Israel also makes the education here is compulsory for every citizens from kindergartens to high school. Schools here are divided into four sectors which named as state, state-religious, independent schools and Arab and among that a majority of children attend state schools. This Middle East parliamentary republic country is only funding 78 percent of the educational expenditure through its public funds.

Following the secondary education, students are enlisted into Israel Defense Forces (IDF). But they can request for extending their joining date to go for college studies. The tuitions fees at this stage will be paid by army and they need to sign an agreement with the army extending their service two to three years.
