Toy Designer
Do you like to play with toys, consider being a toy designer. As a toy designer you will have to use your understanding of technology, materials and manufacturing, plus mix creativity with a logical approach and re-connect with your childhood to design a wide variety of toys for children.
As a toy designer, besides using drawings, 3D models and other computer-aided designs to create toys, you will also be responsible for carrying out research and testing on product prototypes. You will also be responsible for planning a project through various stages, working out prices and budgets to ensure toys are efficient, cost effective to produce, attractive in appearance and of course, fun to operate.
Toy designers don’t need a relevant degree in most cases, or a more general design qualification that offers product design as an option.
