2 Students of IIIT-A Bag 60 Lakh Offer from Facebook

Bangalore: Two students of IIIT-A (Indian Institute of Information Technology, Allahabad) have struck gold in the recently concluded campus placements held at the institution. They landed a lucrative job offer with the social networking giant, Facebook, for an astonishing salary of 60 lakh per annum. Another student from the same institution has been selected as student ambassador of the search engine giant, Google, elevating the institute on the global stage, as reported by Mrigank Tiwari of TNN.

MD Tiwari, the institute director, said that Ankit Gupta and Yogesh Sharma who are pursuing final year B-Tech at the institution are the lucky individuals who are recruited by Facebook. And he added that their batch-mate Divanshu Garg was the one who has been chosen as the Google Student Ambassador to represent the institution for the upcoming academic year.

Tiwari further added that the disclosure about Garg's selection came through an official dispatch issued on 1st July 2013 by Sunil Rao, Google India’s country head - outreach programmes.
