Ravi Raja: He is from Kendriya Vidhyalaya, New Delhi. He has worked on a physics based project called "A New Kind Of Wind Turbine".
This project aims at developing a highly cost-effective and new type of wind turbine which would fulfil the needs of electricity requirements of the society. Also, the project aims to develop a wind turbine which is not only cost effective when compared to the convectional windmill but also produces more electricity, rotates more effectively and also rotates in low air breeze.. It is completely eco-friendly and can be easily customised as per the requirement. The idea has been successfully tested on a low scale model and it can be extended to large scale.
5.Raghavendra Ramachanderan: He is from St. Johns International Residential School, Chennai, Tamil Nadu. He has worked on a chemistry based project called "Photoredox Catalysis - Molecules as Energy Tanks".
This project unifies three concepts, namely:
a] Developments of deoxygenation and C-C bond forming reactions are concepts of research, which are hardly developed in Chemistry.
b] Reactions have been developed that are catalyzed by light, most being UV or IR mediated, not by visible light.
c] Global Energy crisis.
