Westwood College
Westwood College, owned by Alta Colleges, is an American for-profit institution of higher learning with 14 campus locations in five states and online learning options. Though, it offers career-focused diploma, associate, Bachelor's and Master's degree programs, the college has been the target of lawsuits and state investigations regarding its admissions and financial aid practices.
The college that charges exorbitant rates for an associate’s degree has even to attempted to hide information about its programs, in order to secure a higher cash flow—no matter how many careers of students might get ruined in the process.
Westech College
Westech, a private for-profit college, is not far away when it comes to fraudulent activities. The college has been found guilty for a variety of offenses, including outright lying to students about loans, encouraging students to commit fraud on their forms in order to receive more financial aid. Additionally it is also one of the universities that came under the scanner when the government secretly conducted an investigation into the recruiting practices of for-profit universities.
It is also said that the degrees offered by Westech are often worthless and most of times employers reject degrees from the for-profit universities, due to its lower-quality education.
