10 Things You Should Include To Make A Killer Resume

Apply only if you meet the job criteria

Don’t waste the recruiter’s time, or yours, by applying for a job where you don’t meet the minimum criteria. If you’re a little bit below the minimum, then it’s worthwhile to acknowledge it, and say why you think you’d be a good fit for the job anyway. But if you fall well short of the minimum, try and find a position which will qualify you for a higher one.

Don’t lie

Never, ever lie on a resume. Even if you get through the first round, lying or embellishing the truth is very likely to come back to bite you. Trustworthiness is something every employer looks for.

Use keywords

Just as you would with a Google search, add relevant keywords to your resume.  Employers appreciate keywords that fit the job description as it makes their work easier. Add them to your existing resume so that they flow naturally and look forced. This will get your resume past any screening software, as well as recruiters who are used to scanning quickly for keywords.
