Snapchat bolstered its presence in India with strategic appointments aimed at fortifying its leadership team and enhancing its offerings in the country, where it boasts over 200 million monthly active users. The move underscores the platform's commitment to catering to the burgeoning community of 'Snapchatters' and augmenting its value proposition for advertisers, creators, and AR developers.

Pulkit Trivedi, Managing Director of Snap Inc India, affirmed the company's dedication to serving the Indian market by announcing the expansion of its team. The recruitment drive has seen the doubling in size of the India team over the past year across various key verticals, including content, partnerships, augmented reality (AR), growth, and sales.

Saket Jha Saurabh, formerly associated with Meta, has been appointed as Director of Content, Partnerships, and Augmented Reality, bringing with him a wealth of experience in fostering collaborations with creators and media entities. Neha Jolly Sawhney assumes the role of India Sales Head, while Yagnesh Ravi steps in as Ads Solutions Lead, bolstering Snapchat's commercial endeavors in the region.

Uthara Ganesh, with her background in leading public policy initiatives at Amazon Web Services (AWS), takes charge as Head of Public Policy for India and South Asia, signaling Snapchat's intent to navigate regulatory landscapes effectively. Lekshmi Geetha joins as Head of People for India, underlining the platform's focus on talent development and management in the region.
