ServiceNow Launches University to Boost AI Job Readiness

- ServiceNow University aims to upskill 1 million learners in India by 2027
- Focus on AI skills to address India’s growing talent gap in tech jobs
- Immersive learning platform to prepare future ready workforce
ServiceNow has launched ServiceNow University in India, a new learning platform designed to train 1 million learners by 2027 with a strong focus on AI skills. The announcement came at the first ever ServiceNow AI Skills Summit held in Hyderabad, attended by over 1,200 students in person and 20,000 virtually, alongside key partners like AICTE, NASSCOM, and government representatives.
The university aims to close the growing skills gap as India faces a shortage of professionals equipped to handle AI driven roles. Currently, ServiceNow supports over 318,000 active learners and 116,000 certified professionals globally, helping students become job ready through career focused programs. Sumeet Mathur, Senior Vice President at ServiceNow India, said the goal is to help learners build confidence and skills in AI, problem solving, and innovation to turn disruption into opportunity.
According to research, AI could reshape over 10 million jobs in India by 2030, but there is a severe shortage of tech talent, especially in data engineering and data security roles. Industries like manufacturing, retail, and education are already seeing rapid shifts, increasing demand for future ready professionals.
