Oracle Partners with Tamil Nadu to Train 200K Students in Cloud and AI Technologies

Cloud giant Oracle has unveiled plans to train 200,000 students across India in cutting-edge technologies such as Cloud computing, data science, and Artificial Intelligence (AI). This initiative is part of a partnership with the Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation (TNSDC), launched under the state's ambitious skill enhancement program, Naan Mudhalvan.

"Tamil Nadu, with its burgeoning youth population, ranks among India's top states. In our commitment to empower youth and professionals, we have initiated Naan Mudhalvan", stated . Innocent Divya, Managing Director of TNSDC.

The training will be integrated into the curriculum of participating campuses, with educators and academics leading the delivery. Oracle's MyLearn platform will host digital modules, ensuring a flexible learning experience.

The program aims to equip students and professionals with foundational knowledge in Cloud computing and essential concepts such as AI, machine learning (ML), data science, and blockchain.

Shailender Kumar, Senior Vice President and Regional Managing Director of Oracle India and NetSuite JAPAC, highlighted the significance of Oracle certification in bolstering job prospects and skill validation. "Oracle certification is an industry standard that not only enhances knowledge but also validates skills sought by employers, thereby enhancing job prospects and stability", Kumar explained.

Since its inception, the initiative has garnered significant interest, attracting over 60,000 students from diverse educational backgrounds engineering, arts, and science from more than 900 colleges across Tamil Nadu.

This collaboration between Oracle and TNSDC underscores a commitment to bridging the skills gap in emerging technologies, preparing India's youth for future employment opportunities in a digital-first economy.
