HireMee, an AI-driven talent assessment and hiring platform, has teamed up with the Rockefeller Foundation's Global Mentorship Initiative (GMI) to bolster job readiness for young graduates across India. The initiative aims to bridge the gap between graduation and employment by pairing students with mentors who impart essential business skills and guidance.

The GMI program boasts a network of over 5,000 mentors spanning 120 countries, drawn from esteemed organizations like Microsoft, LinkedIn, and Genpact. These mentors will provide invaluable support to HireMee-assessed youth, enhancing their employability prospects.

Venkatraman Umakanth, Senior Vice President and Head at HireMee, emphasized the partnership's goal to elevate the employability quotient of Indian youth through mentorship from global industry leaders.

Under the memorandum of understanding (MoU) between GMI and HireMee, the GMI program will be offered free of charge to youth nationwide. Jon Browning, CEO of the Global Mentorship Initiative, expressed enthusiasm about extending the program's benefits across India, aiming to significantly boost career confidence and skills among participants.

HireMee plans to launch an outreach campaign targeting undergraduate students in their final two years, aged between 20 and 25, encouraging them to undergo HireMee's free employability assessment. This assessment serves as a gateway for students to qualify for the GMI program.

According to HireMee, students enrolled in GMI experience a notable increase in career confidence and skills, with 74% securing employment within six months of graduation globally. Additionally, 82% of respondents credit the GMI program for its pivotal role in their job placement success.

HireMee has already impacted over 720,000 talented youth from small towns by facilitating free assessments and connecting them with diverse companies that prioritize inclusivity.

The collaboration between HireMee and GMI signifies a concerted effort to empower India's youth with the necessary skills and opportunities to thrive in the competitive job market, fostering a more inclusive and skilled workforce for the future.
