Bangalore: Many employees see HR as a department that is responsible only for back end work. However, it should always be remembered that the tasks of an HR is not only limited to hiring and paychecks. In order for the employees to better understand an HR tasks, they should become more noticeable. An article on hr.blr.com gave some points on how to make HR visible. 1. Conduct meetings with different departments in your office periodically. This will give the employees a chance to speak out their problems and you can also give solutions to their queries as well as sorting out the concerns that are bothering the employees. The only thing to remember is that they should inform the employees in advance before conducting such meetings so that they can be ready way ahead.

2. As an HR manager you can also train your workforce in all HR related sources. So, when an employee has an issue they don't have to wait for the HR.

3. Try speaking to the employees informally while taking a walk around during breaks and know if they are having any confusion. Teach them where to go online for HR related information and how to get instant solutions.

4. One of the best ways to make an HR more visible is by conducting orientation programs. Orientation programs will not only help in solving most of the queries; however, it will leave a positive impression about the HR.

5. If you have employees working in shift timings then sometimes you can exchange your work timings with your co-workers to make yourself available to the other employees and look after their issues.

6. Meetings with department managers will help them address their concerns. Such meeting will also let you know how the new employee is performing.

However, if you can make trustworthy friends in all the departments then go ahead with it. This relation will automatically help you know if there is any HR related issue coming up.
