The study also found out that, as the age increased the importance of career and financial success was decreasing for both men and women. As per the study, men and women between the age group of 35 to 64 showed less interest in workplace success than their younger peers.

The wage gap between men’s and women’s weekly earnings has narrowed since 1979, but it has been generally factual that the gender difference in pay was wider for elder women than for younger women. This is the same when we compared to the wage a man gets for the same profession.

Parker said, it is not clear to say the high rate of ambitiousness shown by young women regarding their career at present will remain the same as they get older.
