2. Greece:

Unemployment rate: 21.8 percent

It has been reported that the debt crisis and strict measures have taken the toll on the country’s labour market, reports Harry Papachristou of the Reuters. Among the percentage of unemployed citizens, more number of youths in the country has remained unemployed without finding any better job opportunities. According to ELSTAT figures, it is 21.2 percent by the end of December 2011.  As per the reports a record number of 1.08 million Greek citizens were having no job as of January 2012 which is considered to be 47 percent more than what it was in January 2011.
