3. Include them in other activities
Even if you find it very tough to be with your co-workers, let them know you don’t have any prejudice on them. You have to make them feel you do not bare any complaints about them. Yeah, it will work. Find some time to spend with the ‘difficult people’ around you but not in workplace. Plan some weekend programs including the difficult ones around you like parties, trips, movie, and of course you can include some charity works too. The more you involve them on outside office works, you will experience they turn on to be cooperative.
4. Explain Your Work Decisions
Don’t let any misunderstandings to happen especially when you work with difficult people. There is no room for assuming others know what you are talking about. There is nothing harm if you do explain step by step. In fact, it will help you to chuck out misleading and more complicated conversation. Detailing the work progress will significantly decrease the errors which mostly happen with misunderstandings. Obviously, you have to explain why you are choosing particular method to do your task. Also you have to make sure how you get your team members in the particular task.
5. Be professional
After all, don’t get any personal relationship with your co-workers. The one-hand distance method is always good to follow, not only physically even mentally. It is very difficult to know whom to believe or not, in corporate world. Always remember the fact there is nothing you can get freely in this world. Everything is paid in one or the other way. The best way to come out of the ‘difficult people’ is ‘be professional and healthy’ with them. For a successful job profile, you have to get your task completed by the deadline. That doesn’t mean you need to be unfriendly and offish with your colleagues. Instead, you have to grab the name for being an approachable person.
