Working with Difficult People is Not Fearsome
Bangalore: Is it head-aching to deal with few co-workers? Did you see someone intentionally hurting you? If yes, of course you are in a difficult path to move on. Encountering with difficult people is a part of work life. You cannot easily avoid them; either you cannot get involved in the continuous clash at work. You have to be more careful while dealing with the ‘difficult people’ and moreover your ability to deal with them labels you ‘professional and co-operative’. It is not easy to figure out ‘difficult’ people around you. Difficult people will make you frustrated the way they are. Not only you, other team members also tag them as ‘difficult to deal’. You will find them in different forms such as chatterbox, complainer, gossip makers, credit grabbers and some seems delegators too.
If you know few tips to manage the ‘difficult co-workers’, you will not be frustrated. If you miss out the tact, it’s high time for you to be more professional. Team work is not meant to trouble you more but to simplify your task. There is no easy way to get rid of the ‘difficult ones’ in your team. But always remember the well-said statement - ‘humans are the blessed animals to have control over the responses.’
In his article, ‘Dealing with Difficult People’, the Clinical Psychologist and one of the advisors of the National Association of Cognitive Behavioural Therapists in New York, Dr. Nando Pelusi mentioned that difficult people purposefully provoke others. The very message they convey is, “Unless you agree with me and go along, you'll regret it.” Just make sure you have the tact to deal with ‘difficult people’.
