Nasscom, in its 2009, had reported that, around 400 out of the 500 companies in the Fortune list had their operations in India.
In the year 2010, IBM had employed around 75,000 employees in India that was considered to be 9,000 more since 2003. Whereas in the United States, the company had hired 105,000 employees same year 2010, but it was a drop of 30,000 less than what was hired in 2003. So, this also indicated that Indian skill set has earned a global recognition along with being a nation as a low-cost global hub from software to manufacturing sectors. This credit has increased the speed of competition between Indian companies with their American counterparts, reports ‘CIOL’ website. As the Indian IT companies namely, Infosys, Wipro and TCS have been already recognized as top class software and Business Process Outsourcing [BPOs] firms in the global level, they can be a tough competitor with the IT giants of the United States.
