What Working Women Want In Budget 2015
Career-oriented women also wants the government to implement some women-only government-sponsored investment schemes where she can put in her hard-earned money and take sigh of relief of security.
As the lifestyle gets tougher for women maintaining a balance, taking care of health is increasingly becoming difficult. Thus women are frequently visiting doctors for health treatments. Thus in lieu of this an increase in exemption limits on medical treatment is the call especially from women’s side. The present exemption limit of 15,000 needs to be revised.
Women over the past few years are turning to be more independent and seen owning their own houses. With the real estate prices shooting up in recent years and women in need for buying a house, the Indian government should consider this and should increase the limits for tax deduction. This will help women rise well and not be dependent on any one else for their sweet home to live in.
Apart from owning home, education is another most important thing, and with education costs going up day by day with institutions shooting up educational fees it is important that women should have some savings towards this. Government in the budget should increase the deduction under IT act or to keep it simple just make it separate.
These are some of the common expectations a working woman has from the Indian government if there is any truth in the talk about empowering women. We have to wait to see these changes only once the Union budget is out.
