This question aims to find whether you are interested to grow with technologies or not. Today, most of the employers would like to hire candidates who are enthusiastic and prepared to update themselves with the latest technical know-how.

You hardly find a job which never demands for a technical skill. New computer programmes and other technologies are vital in today’s workplace. From fast-food liners to any kind of job category, they insist on you to adapt new technological trends quickly. Your employer needs to know how fast and keen you are to adjust with changing technological demands.

If you are a fresher in job search, you can talk about how much your extra-curricular activities helped you to improve your personal skills such as leadership skills, communication skills and so on. Or you can tell about how your guide’s advice helped to improve your skills to successfully accomplish college assignments.

You should be careful to avoid superficial explanations when you talk about how you developed a new skill. More than just having the excellence in adapting new skills, you have to prove that you have a keen interest to be updated in various skills over time. Show them that you are not that old-school employee who doesn’t believe in career progress. You have to give the hint, ‘I would like to see a career growth than just doing a job’.

Not only what you ‘did’ to improve your skills but also what ‘will’ you do to improve in your new job will matter a lot for your employer. Even if you are not asked, brining up this answer as it will help you to land a job. While preparing for this potentially challenging question, keep yourself an approachable person with friendly and honest nature; moreover, be professional in your interview. Your prospective employer will hire you for this.
