New Delhi: Customer services firm Uniq plans to hire about 1,500 people over a period of six months for its Power Circle brand.
"We have started hiring as we plan to start our business sometime in this week. In six months' time, we are looking to hire over 1,500 full-time employees. By March, we will have 30 percent of the total number in place," Uniq Consumer Services Founder and Director Nikunj Bubna told media.
Around 20 percent of the total hired people will be employed for business development and 80 percent will be for the new Power Circle consumer service section, which will negotiate with vendors to provide discounts to its customers.
"We will start our operation sometime in this week," Bubna said.
This service will be provided to limited set of customers, initially in Delhi, Mumbai and Pune, which the company is registering through corporate tie-ups. The service will be open for individual customers as well.
"We have kept a limit of 7.5 lakh customers in Mumbai, 10.5 lakh in Delhi and 1.4 lakh customers in Pune. By March, we are targeting only 30 percent of targeted customers to register with us," Bubna said.
He said the second phase of business expansion for Power Circle will start in April, after which company will look at launching its services in other cities.
"We are looking at expanding our service to 18 cities, mainly in metros and tier-I cities," Bubna said.
