According to Roffey Park, the author of the new research report 'The Power of Constructive Politics', told that constructive political behavior at office place is described as establishing effective relationships, understanding individual agendas, building support for constructive ideas, building a personal reputation, treating everyone fairly and influencing others rather than directly using the power. There are some reasons why the office politics is unavoidable like: 1.In a work place some people have more power than others; it may be either through hierarchy or through some other basis of influence. 2.Office politics can also be created by the competition to the higher positions between the individuals. 3.Decisions at work are impacted by both work related goals and personal factors and so there is further scope for goal conflict and that leads to work place politics. To make the office politics work for you, you must first understand the reality of it. Once you have understood the reality of this, you must start developing strategies to deal with the political behavior that is going on around you. And the best way to do this is to be a good observer and then use the information you gather to build a strong network inside the office to operate.
