Mumbai, the commercial and entertainment capital of India, is the second on the list of top job creating Indian cities in 2012. It is the most populous city in India and the fourth most populous metropolis in the world. It is also the richest city in India and has the highest Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of any city in West, South or Central Asia. Mumbai is the lifeline and economic hub of India, contributing to about 10 percent of national employment, 40 percent of foreign trade, 25 percent of industrial output, 20 percent of central excise tax collections, 33 percent of income tax collections and 60 percent of customs duty collection.
In addition, India’s finest multinationals which include Reliance, Godrej, Tata Group, etc. and top five of the Fortune Global 500 companies are based in this colorful city. Mumbai is growing at the rate of knots and lots of sectors are providing numerous employment opportunities to the people of this city. Some of these sectors include Information technology, Bollywood, healthcare industry, and so on.
