And their job description includes converting written materials from a source language into a target language, ensuring the translated version put across the meaning of the original copy as unambiguously as possible.

Translators can work on documents related to fields such as science, technology, commerce, legal, literary or education and the work activities usually includes a combination of reading through original material, rewriting it into target language, researching, liaising with clients, proofreading, editing and so on.
