It is the largest managed care organization in the U.S. Industrialist Henry J Kaiser and physician Sidney Garfield had together established the company in 1945. The Kaiser Foundation Health Plan and its regional operating subsidiaries; Kaiser Foundation Hospitals; and the autonomous regional Permanente Medical Groups are the three major divisions of the company. It is a $47.9 billion revenue generated company. It earned an index score of 4.300 out of 5.
