Lumberjack:
The worst job in the list is lumberjack. They harvest thousands of acres of forests each year. The timber they harvest provides the raw material for many consumer goods and industrial products.
Their work is physically demanding and includes lifting, climbing, and other strenuous activities, although machinery has eliminated some heavy labor, it is one of the riskiest jobs. Despite the strong emphasis on safety, they have a high rate of fatal occupational injuries.
Most fatal occupational injuries occur due to contact with a machine or an object like falling branch. They usually don’t work at night but they have to work in all the seasons and all the weather conditions including rain, chilled climate and hot day.
The median annual wage for lumberjack is $24,340 and the projected job growth by 2022 is 4 percent.
