As per the sources within the company, there will be no drop in the number of new recruits this year. It was also revealed that HCL is plagued by the lack of proper communication with its fresh engineering recruits.
Speaking about the new U.S. immigration reforms, Narayanan, one of the senior officials at HCL, exclaimed that the fresh wage compliance regime that would come into effect is one of the biggest issues surrounding the latest reforms. And he added that, “It’s not only about the shift in converting thousands of H1bs into locals or greencards. But if you dig a little deeper, it’s about whether most companies are compliant on wages.
