During the day long deliberations, doctors discussed the emerging trends in the field of cardiovascular diseases as well as the latest advances in treatments. Other topics being discussed at the two-day conclave include advances in diagnostic technology, groundbreaking developments in interventional cardiac procedures, and new frontiers in heart failure management. They also touched upon vulnerabilities and risk factors for cardiovascular diseases and heart failure in Indian Asians and the role of lifestyle management in future cardiac care.
The conclave saw participation of practicing clinicians and academicians from leading medical and research centres such as Cleveland Clinic (Ohio, USA), St. Francis Hospital (New York, USA), St. Luke’s Medical Centre (Milwaukee, USA), University of Alabama (USA), National Heart and Lung Institute, Imperial College (London, UK), Mount Elizabeth Medical Centre (Singapore), University of Leipzig (Germany), Lille University Hospital (France) and Juan Ramon Jimenez University Hospital (Huelva, Spain) among others. National faculty included cardiologists and surgeons from FEHI as well as field contemporaries from Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore, Kolkata, Jaipur, Chandigarh, Lucknow, Goa, Thiruvananthapuram and Kochi.
