'Stress In Working Women Emerges As Key Risk Factor Behind Heart Diseases'

The doctors also discussed subjects like the role of diabetes in increasing the risk of cardiovascular diseases and the role of stress in precipitating heart ailments among youth, who too are showing signs of increasing stress levels due to their sedentary lifestyle and a demanding situation on professional front.

“Stress today is emerging as a key risk factor for heart ailments and needs to managed and treated even if it requires psychological help and intervention. Particularly in urban areas where women are performing multiple responsibilities of caretaker at home as well as employees at workplace, the levels of stress have been compounded by their dual roles.
