Steps To Be A Successful Woman Techie

Bangalore: There is no hard and fast rule. Yet, women in India neither has the passion nor has the aim to take up a job in the tech sector. Nobody stated, yet it’s  golden rule that technology is meant for men.  But if we look at women like Meg Whiteman(CEO,HP), Sheryl Sandberg(COO, Facebook), Padmasree Warrior(CEO, Cisco) we can conclude that the women community has achieved a lot in the technology sector.
A recent comprehensive survey by the Dice, a 22-year-old website that specializes in technology jobs, the gender pay gap has disappeared in the tech sector. “When it comes to technology employment, it’s a skills driven marketplace,” says Dice Senior Vice President Tom Silver in a statement.
But still the mindset that men are ahead of women in tech sector exists. What can be the probable reasons for it? Perhaps women aren’t pursuing advanced technology degrees at the same rate as men. Women also tend to look back from technology jobs because of self-imposed limitations tat they are weaker than their male colleagues or with the fear that the job will interfere too much in their family life
Breaking all these taboos, if you want to follow the footsteps of Whiteman or Sandberg, then here are few tricks based on Techgig on how the daughters, mothers or wives can excel in the manmade machine sector:

#Computational Thinking
One of the biggest advantages in studying computer science is  computational thinking. It is a process that generalizes a solution to open ended problems. It , designs systems, and understands human behavior that draws on concepts fundamental to computer science. The characteristics that define computational thinking are decomposition, data representation, generalization/abstraction, and algorithms. It can be used to algorithmically to solve complicated problems of scale, and is often used to realize large improvements in efficiency. It is a collection of diverse skills to do with problem solving that result from studying the nature of computation.
