Six New IIM's Initial Administration To Be Under IIM Udaipur

 BANGALORE: The turmoil in Admission procedures at six newly planned Indian institute of management is expected to get resolve soon. 

IIM-U has already started talking personal interviews and aptitude test on paper for future IIMs candidates at Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Bihar, Himachal Pradesh, Maharashtra and Punjab. In addition, IIM-U is also coordinating the admission process of six new IIMs at Kashipur, Ranchi, Raipur, Rohtak, Trichy and Udaipur, reports Times of India
 

The six planned institutes are expected to begin academic session in 2015, but it is difficult to up hold an independent identity.  The final decision on the location of the IIMs in respective states is yet to be taken. 

"A proposal has been put forth in this regard. Admission process is taking time this year as all the proposed IIMs are at different stages of development. Some of them still do not have their own campus. Few mentor of IIMs have proposed to commence academic activities from their campuses to promote the proposed IIMs," said IIM-Indore director, Prof Rishikesha T Krishnan.

The union government affirmed a selected mentor to guide the new proposed IIM.  .


"There is no clarity on number of seats that will be opened for admission in proposed IIMs," said, Prof Rohit Kapoor Convener, CAT,2014. With the stagnation in the process, . Furthermore, the credibility of the academic profile, work experience, gender diversity and CAT 2014 cut-off percentile are still unknown.
