siliconindia to rank Top 100 Engineering colleges in India

Bangalore: According to NASSCOM, by 2020, Indian software engineering services companies will need to bring in 25-30 percent of engineering talent from abroad, since there is a huge shortage of trained people now in India. Considering this estimation, it?s quite evident that leading engineering institutions like IITs and NITs are not enough to churn out the quality talent. To help students choose the best college to study, last year, Siliconindia came out with the list of Top 100 Engineering Colleges in India. The ranking was based on a perceptual study, conducted among HR managers, Recruitment firms and job boards. This year also Siiconindia is coming out with the ranking for engineering colleges in India. This year, MCA and M.Tech colleges will also be ranked. Apart from helping the students, the survey is also intended to help Human Resource Managers of IT firms to identify the right colleges for campus placements. The sole parameter of judging the quality of the colleges is the performance of its graduates in the industry, which in turn can be measured by the pay package commanded by them. The list would be entirely based on the CTC of a graduate after five years of work experience.
