SI College to job symposium a perfect platform for hiring

Bangalore: Having finally achieved that often dreamed goal - education, getting the first real job is not an easy task for many of the fresh candidates in India. It is true that the time has changed and there is a drastic improvement in the employment scenario. Industry experts from different IT companies came forward at the Siliconindia College to job symposium to enlighten the fresh candidates who aspire to make their engineering career.
"Earlier the only means to find a job was the newspapers. Today the young generation is blessed with lot of platforms to achieve their dream job. Even they are able to hear from the industry experts prior to joining the company experts," said Madhusudan Rao, AVP Delivery, Mahindra Satyam.
Around 500 students from different colleges in Bangalore listen to the experts from Altius, Microsoft, Oracle, Mahindra Satyam, Jetking, Crane, Adobe and CDC. The job fair has been designed to provide a very convenient and professional environment for the companies and the candidates to interact with each other.
"It was a new and great experience for me to meet the experts from the top IT companies and I got a chance to talk to them personally and clear my doubts and I am completely satisfied with the friendly atmosphere for discussions," said Ritesh Srivastava, Engineering student from IMS engineering college, Gaziabad.
Experts also drew the attention of young minds towards the main challenges that the Indian engineering sector faces like the need to further upgrade technology, move up the value chain and the need to increase the scale of manufacturing activity in order to become globally competitive.
