Bangalore:Sarvesh Asthana has been appointed as the Senior Vice President of technology at Netxcell, a telecom application service. As the Vice President, Asthana would be responsible for bringing new focus to Netxcell's cutting edge VAS ( value added service) & Enterprise solutions. His experience in the field of wireless communication industry will help the company. Asthana, on his appointment said, "Joining Netxcell, which has a strong legacy and is on the move, is a perfect fit for my experience and goals. Being an electronics engineering graduate from HBTI Kanpur, Asthana comes with 20 years of experience and over 14 years in the wireless communications industry. In the field of CDMA and GSM services, he has eight U.S. patents under his belt with six more pending patent applications. Prior to joining Netxcell, Asthana was a General Manager with Reliance Communications as the head of VAS SDP, Access devices and VAS technical solutions teams responsible for CDMA (1x/EVDO) as well as GSM (GPRS/3G) technologies. He had also worked along with Nokia U.S., Alcatel U.S. TCS to name a few. Debasis Chatterji, CEO, Netxcell said, "We are glad to have Sarvesh on board.
