Sanjay Sharma joins Huawei Telecommunications

Bangalore: Sanjay Sharma, ex Samsung and ACME Telepower, has joined Huawei Telecommunications India as Head of Applications and Software (A&S) division. He will be responsible for sales and marketing functions of consumer - VAS, Enterprise Business, BSS and professional services business in India and Nepal.
Sharma said, "My focus at Huawei will be to attain and improve our leadership position in A&S solutions for our customers and utilize our world class IP created for Innovative New Business Revenue stream solutions for our customers and help them generate new revenue streams and optimize their operation performance."
Sharma brings with him over 19 years of experience in the telecom and IT industry in global companies like IBM Global Services, Samsung and Multi-Tech. He has spent almost three years with Samsung Electronics, and another nine with IBM Global Services working across the Asia Pacific region. Within IBM, he worked on various assignments in the solutions sales and marketing field, for the Indian and Asia Pacific market with various telecom customers. Prior to IBM, he worked with Multi-Tech Systems, handling their channel sales function.
Sharma holds a Bachelors degree in telecommunications, a master of business administration and is an active member of IEEE and other computer societies. He has undergone professional training in Harvard Business School on strategy, sales and marketing methodologies.
