Sanjay Sachdev appointed CEO of Tata Asset Management

Mumbai: Tata Asset Management, today said that it has appointed Sanjay Sachdev as its President and CEO.
Sachdev comes with a strong financial services background and over 23 years of experience in the industry.
He spent 12 years in the Principal Financial Group -- first in the U.S. as Global Manager/International Investment Officer, and then from 2000 to 2006 in India as Managing Director/Country Manager of Principal-PNB.
He was responsible for setting up Principal's asset management and wealth management businesses in India in partnership with IDBI and later with PNB and Vijaya Bank and their subsequent growth and success, a press release issued here stated.
Subsequent to that Sachdev was General Manager and Managing Director of Shinsei Bank in India. He has a Master's Degree in International Business from the American Graduate School of International Management (Thunderbird), Phoenix, Arizona, and Degrees in Law and Business from the University of Bombay.
