Bangalore: A recent study by the HR firm Ma Foi Randstad revealed that Indian professionals select a company in a different way, as they give more emphasis on the salary, job security, office atmosphere and the work life balance in the organization. However, the global trend gives a different picture where experienced professionals generally choose companies that are more recognized for their quality of product and services while the younger professionals are more inclined towards companies that are innovative and offer interesting jobs and pleasant working atmosphere. The study recognizes a trend among the male professionals in India that they prefer strong and financially stable companies with high quality products and services whereas female professionals consider the work atmosphere, job location, and job content while choosing the job. It identifies IT and BPO are the most attractive sectors followed by energy, consulting, consumer goods and retail, travel and hospitality, auto, banking and financial services, telecom, engineering and infrastructure.
