New Delhi: The leading consulting firms are facing a worrying trend. As the economic conditions are blooming, the firms like KPMG, PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), Ernst & Young and Deloitte, are doing good business. However, this has also given rise to experienced professionals moving jobs, as they are offered huge raises and promotions, reports Pankaj Doval of Times News Network. The Big 4 firms are witnessing a sea of switchovers of their talent pool to rival companies. To add to the woes, these switchovers usually do involve movement of a big team rather than just one individual. Case in point is the movement of Dinesh Kanabar, Head of Tax Practice at PwC, who moved on to KPMG few months ago. He moved with around 20 partners and 100 plus staff members. An analyst says of the trend, "There is a limited pool of talent available and firms find it better to dig into each other than try and nurture fresh ones". This quite sums up as to why are there growing numbers of professionals making job switches amongst the organizations.
