Not Only From IIT, IIM; E-coms Are looking For Fresh Talents in NIFT

BANGALORE: Following in the strides of the graduates at IITs and IIMs, this year a more noteworthy number of students from one of the best design institute, NIFT Mumbai, are joining e-commerce organizations and startups. In the latest placement, as many as 42 students joined e-business organizations and startups, which were just 10 last year, reports The Times of India.

According to Sushil Raturi, head of industry and alumni affairs of all 15 NIFTs in the country, "The interest for startups is very high as compared to last year when not many students were enthused to join these companies. Students are getting increasingly drawn towards the flexible environment offered by these new age companies," reports TOI.

Salaries (barring worker investment opportunities) offered by startups and e-business organizations were on a normal 20 percent higher than what organizations from conventional divisions are putting forth. As indicated by the establishment's Campus Placement Report (2015), an aggregate of 90 organizations took an interest and offered placements to 188 students. Some significant spotters were Raymonds brand, Snapdeal, Reliance brands, planner Anita Dongre, Archana Kochhar, Remanika, among others. Pantaloon, Future Lifestyle, Raymonds were the biggest selection representatives from the customary part.
