Indian lawmakers aspire that if foreign universities are allowed to play a bigger role, the students may have better options for higher education. Although the higher foreign universities are all set to hit the Indian market, the bill aimed at permitting foreign universities to have a bigger presence in India is still pending in Parliament. More than 20 representatives of different American universities, including the University of Pennsylvania and Arizona State University, plan to visit India to explore partnership opportunities.
