NISG appoints Sanjiv Mital as CEO Designate

Bangalore: National Institute of Smart Government (NISG), an organisation in the space of e-governance, announced the appointment of Sanjiv Mital as its CEO Designate.
Welcoming the appointment, R Chandrashekhar, Secretary, Department of Information Technology, Government of India said, "Sanjiv's joining NISG further endorses government's commitment to leverage the public private partnership and accelerate the e-governance initiatives. This will assist in ensuring that the Government to Citizen initiatives are successfully implemented."
Mital was the CEO, and later became the Vice Chairman of Comviva (earlier called Bharti Telesoft). He has previously worked in senior positions in Tally, Wipro and IBM, and more recently has been actively mentoring emerging companies as part of NASSCOM's mentorship program. Mital is an experienced IT professional, with almost three decades of experience in Technology and Telecom sectors. He is an IIT Kanpur and IIM Calcutta alumnus.
Also, Som Mittal, President of NASSCOM, said, "Sanjiv has been a dynamic leader and has vast experience in the industry and will bring unique strength to NISG to enable major e-Governance projects to successful implementation. We expect Sanjiv to work very closely with Central and State Government further strengthen the ongoing initiatives, build a strong ecosystem of service providers including large and small players."
