Mid-Career Training Programme For Senior IPS Officers

NEW DELHI: A four-week long mid-career training programme (MCTP) for senior IPS officers commenced at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy (SVPNPA), Hyderabad.

Ajit Rangnekar, Dean, Indian School of Business delivered the inaugural address on the topic 'Core qualities of a Leader' and Bhaskar Pramanik, Chairman, Microsoft India delivered the keynote address on 'IT initiatives for Good Governance'.

The four-week training would consist of two weeks in SVPNPA and two weeks of study tour to the United States, an official release said.

The study tour, as part of the foreign component, is being anchored and delivered by the International Association for Chiefs of Police, USA.

Out of the two weeks of study tour, one week will be in Washington and one week will be in New York during which the participants will visit various law enforcement agencies, deliberate with their senior executives and attend workshop and panel discussions.
