Mid level Jobs Now Occupied by Robots

Bangalore: The Technology is evolving at such a rapid pace that it's very hard to predict how it will change our life. Many new technologies are responsible for the major changes in our life as well as in the economy of a country. We have reached an era where computers and robots
will replace humans in most of the mid level jobs. Now computers and robots will be doing a lot of jobs that humans are doing today. They will also replace humans in enough jobs that they will dramatically change the economy, said industry watchers and MIT economists at a robotics symposium and the transition has already started, reports Sharon Gaudin of Computer World.
At the symposium at MIT, Andrew McAfee said that IBMs Watson supercomputer recently bested human champions on the Jeopardy game show. A Google self-driving car has been coursing around California, and the military is using robots on the ground and in the air in combat zones. Andrew McAfee, an MIT economist and co-author of the book 'Race against the Machine' said "What we are finally seeing is that our digital helpers aren't just catching up to us, but, in some cases, are passing us and in some head-to-head contests, machines have raced past us."
Though it might scare the humans, but the best part is robot cannot become the mangers and they cannot run companies.
Some jobs which are low skilled and low paying like dog groomers, restaurant wait staff and barbers are safe.
However, according to David Autor, an MIT economist, " it's a myth that there's only a certain amount of work to be done and that machines will eliminate all jobs and leave people with nothing to do. He said that technology doesn't eliminate jobs altogether. We shouldn't be worried that we're going to run out of jobs, but we may not like all the jobs being created. It's something we should be paying attention to."
McAfee said the change in the workforce is coming quickly but it doesn't imagine a workplace without people which will be too science fiction.
Technology grows the economic pie and it's not bad for the economy. It makes us more productive and efficient. But the problem is, by the cutting edge technology, like robots and super computers, the median workers is being left behind. However though high technology can do most of the human's work, the original human skill and their creative works cannot be replaced by robots.
