New Delhi: Samsung has appointed Mahesh Krishnan as Vice President and Business Head of the company. He will be responsible for managing the sales and marketing of Samsung's home appliance portfolio. Samsung's home appliances include refrigerators, air conditioners, washing machines and microwave ovens. "With his (Krishnan) blend of experience in the consumer durables and the FMCG segment, I am confident that he can lead Samsung India’s strong growth in the Home Appliances segment in the country," Samsung India Deputy Managing Director Ravinder Zutshi said. He will also be responsible for spearheading the modern retail function with the consumer electronics division of the company, it added. Prior to this, Krishnan was the Vice President with Philips Electronics. An IIM Bangalore alumni, Krishnan commenced his career with TVS Whirlpool in 1989. Besides, he has worked with brands such as ITC, General Mills and Goodyear.
