Raipur: Jindal Steel and Power Ltd (JSPL) Tuesday appealed to the people to be wary of cheats who were using the company's name and offering appointments at a price.
"The company has information that some persons and agencies are offering fake appointment letters to youths for jobs in JSPL and making money," said a company statement issued here.
The company made it clear that it never accepted money from candidates for appointment in the company.
"The company appeals to people to not fall prey to such persons and agencies and fully inquire about anyone who is making calls to them for managing jobs in JSPL," the company said.
The JSPL has also sought police help in the fake appointments racket.
