Hyderabad: The Annual General Body Meeting of ITsAP (The Information Technology and Services Industry Association of AP) has elected L. Suresh as its next President for the term 2010-2012. He takes over this responsibility from M. Narsimha Rao, Vice President, Infosys Technologies, Hyderabad.
L. Suresh is currently the Managing Director of Infozon Systems, a company founded and built by him from ground up. He has been associated with ITsAP since 2002 as a Managing Committee Member and as its Secretary since 2006. He has over 24 years of experience in the software industry in several key areas including Management of SBUs, Delivery Management and Systems Integration, Business Development, Consulting and Strategy, and Management of Offshore Development Centers (ODCs).
Outgoing President, Mr. Narsimha Rao, congratulated the newly elected President and said, "I am happy with the new initiatives taken up during the last two years and the progress we have made. The challenges that lay ahead for the association are to build on the IT/ITES industry and ITsAP brand in terms of growth. We should also focus on the evolved stakeholder interest and a long term strategy for the Industry and the Association. The industry, I feel, has to work collaboratively though it competes in the market place."
An alumni of the prestigious Banaras Hindu University and the Indian Institute Management, Ahmedabad, Suresh was earlier associated with Bartronics India as Senior Vice President, Bhrigus Software (India) as Head of India operations, Metamor Enterprise Solutions and Tata Consultancy Services.
Suresh thanked all the members, and said, "My focus for next two years will be on making the association more relevant/useful to the SMEs, work with the government on issues relating to the industry and reach out to the Tier II cities. I sought the active cooperation of all past presidents, senior leaders of the industry and associates from member companies in helping ITsAP continue making a positive difference to the IT/ITES industry in the state."
