IT Companies To Be Slow In Hiring This Year

Bangalore: The colleges across the Country will be experiencing a dip in hiring process as the IT Firms have become slow in hiring process this year.

The Biggest campuses in the State of Tamil Nadu, namely VIT University and SASTRA University have shown that economic slowdown have affected the hiring process. You can see a significant reduction in the number of hired candidates this year by the top IT companies in the country as well as only few companies are visiting the Universities and colleges to campus recruitments this time. The process of recruitment across different parts of the nation has begun this month.

As per VIT University’s placement data, it has reported that among all its 3,603 students, everyone has landed a job. Accenture has offered the highest number of job opportunity to the students of this University by hiring the maximum of 1,492 job opportunities and it is followed by another Tech company Wipro as it has offered around 1,308 job opportunities for the students from this University.

But the important thing to be noted here is that, all the companies have retained almost the same pay packages just like last year with just few differences. Accenture last yer had paid the same pay package of 3 Lakh for both undergraduate and postgraduate engineers. This year there is a slight enhancement in that pay package as it has offered 3.34 Lakh for undergraduate students and post graduate engineers are offered 3.6 Lakh in a annual basis. But Wipro and Cognizant have retained the same pay package just like last year.
