Is it Good to Train Fresh Employees Than Hiring Skilled Workers?
2. Bringing a trained or fresh candidate from outside Vs promoting the experienced candidate within the company:
If you bring in a trained candidate or a fresh one from outside, it is of some sought of disadvantage for an employer for sometime unless they get to know about the newly joined employee for some time. Apart from that, most employers prefer hiring a fresh or experienced candidate from outside when they want to bring in a complete change. If you promote an employee who is already a worker in your company, it is for you to understand and the risk of hiring is lessened and also your effort of promoting an existing employee often pays off. An employer also has another advantage by promoting an existing employee to a different position, and that advantage is, the employer is already familiar with the employees working nature, his or her ability to work with others, they are also familiar with their problem solving nature that helps them to judge upon whether they are capable of taking up the difficult tasks.
The situation is different when it comes to recruiting an entirely new candidate [fresher or an experienced] who is from outside the company because, it will be pretty difficult for the employers to judge them soon after they join the company. Apart from that, it will also be difficult for the employer to entirely depend upon them. Here in this cases the employer, need to observe and monitor the new employees till they are able to handle their assigned tasks without anyone’s help.
