Infy reconsiders iRace, 30 percent employees to return

Bangalore: IT major Infosys has brought in changes to its role and career enhancement initiative called the Infosys role and career enhancement (iRace) program. And as per the new norm, the company will promote 8500 employees this year along with the re-evaluation of the cuts of 4500 employees who had not been revaluated of their roles last October.
Also, it has already announced a pay hike of total $134 million, reports Sunanda Jayaseelan from CNBC-TV18. Infosys came up with this role-based evaluation system for its employees last year.
Previously, the program was met with some criticism from its employees and also considered as a restraint to employee's sentiments. iRace had set up sub-committees at different level comprising of managers to address the complaint of the employees and Infosys is approaching the entire reaction from the employees in different levels.
