Infor appoints Souma Das as new General Manager for India

Mumbai: Infor, a provider of business software for mid-market customers, has announced the appointment of Souma Das as General Manager of India, reporting to David Hudson, Vice President, South East Asia and India, Infor Asia Pacific.
Das will manage the company's India operations and lead the team to drive sales growth and achieve business objectives. He is also charged with enabling the team and partners to provide world-class services and support to Infor's respective customers throughout the country. Infor's business software solutions, particularly Infor ERP LN, currently have a well-established customer installed base in India.
Das brings to Infor his two decades of sales and business development experience. He is a veteran executive in the Information Technology market in India and was most recently the Area Vice President and Managing Director, Citrix Systems India. Das helped develop the company from a start-up to a sizable and profitable growth business within eight years. Prior to Citrix, he was the Country General Manager of Lotus Development Corporation, now a part of IBM Software Group. During his five year tenure, Das was instrumental in establishing and expanding the company's business footprint in India. Das started his career as a system engineer in Wipro, and held various positions and shifted to a regional sales position which was responsible for enterprise software and services business.

Das holds a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from the University of Calcutta, and a Master of Science in Computer Science and Applications from Jadavpur University. He is a frequent speaker at technology conferences and has a strong network of relationships within the industry.
