Indian IT Biggies Now Hiring Efficient Talent From Global B-Schools
BANGALORE: The world today are moving at the speed of light and as such many big firms are constantly hunting for professionals who has the capability of yielding profits for the firms, in return. Indian big corporates are not far behind in this race. Since regions like South-East Asia, Latin America, the U.S. and Africa are witnessing tremendous success in global expansion, several Indian IT biggies including Godrej, Aditya Birla and Wipro, among others, are now on the lookout for talent from across global business schools and also from graduate colleges, reports Rica Bhattacharyya of the Economic Times.
The hiring is certainly with an intention of finding more appropriate candidates who are well versed with the culture and a greater understanding of how local market works. Some of the companies also exclaimed that the local talent would have long-term career plans in the region and this makes it relatively easy for companies to make retention easier.
Santrupt Misra, CEO, Carbon Black Business, and Director, Group Human Resources of the Aditya Birla Group, said, "For the last couple of years, we have been getting interns from global business schools from where we keep some. Next year, we may target hiring talent from global institutions in one or two regions like South East Asia and the U.S. where we have significant presence," Reports ET.
He also added that last year, the group hired 5-6 candidates from global schools. "The hiring from overseas is purely driven by business requirements."
